Clinics

Our Practice Nurses are specialists in the following conditions:

Asthma, Diabetes, COPD, Heart Disease and High Blood Pressure

Travel Clinics

Practice Nurses also run our Travel Clinics for advice and any necessary injections.  Please allow plenty of time before travelling as some courses of vaccinations may take up to 8 weeks to complete.  We charge a fee for some vaccinations, whilst others may be free.  Please ask at Reception for a Travel Pack.

You can also obtain up-to-date advice on travel healthcare at the Department of Health website at www.dh.gov.uk/travellers or at www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk  Internet facilities are available at local libraries.  M.A.S.T.A. will give advice by phone on 09068 224100 – this is a premium rate call and may cost around £6.00.  Alternatively, ask your Travel Agent.

Never travel without adequate health insurance.  The country you are visiting may not provide free healthcare.

Family Planning

Advice on all aspects of family planning is available from a doctor or nurse.  Long-acting reversible contraception is available including coils, implants, etc
